West Rock Villas is a boutique collection of thoughtfully designed self-catering villas tucked into the peaceful countryside of St. James Parish on Barbados’ celebrated Platinum West Coast.

Intentionally small and intimate, West Rock offers a relaxed alternative to large resorts — created for travelers who prefer independence, privacy, and the freedom to explore the island at their own pace.

Designed by Barbadian architect John Allsop, the villas reinterpret the island’s traditional “Chattel House” style with a modern perspective. Each villa is carefully angled to capture cooling trade winds, sweeping countryside scenery, and views of the Caribbean Sea, blending classic Barbadian architecture with contemporary comfort. Inside, the villas are beautifully appointed with a refined coastal aesthetic — airy spaces, thoughtful design details, and modern, luxurious comforts that make it easy to settle into island life.

At the heart of the property, a small but stunning shared pool is surrounded by tropical gardens, offering a peaceful place to cool off after a day exploring Barbados.

Set among gently rolling hills yet only a short drive from the beaches, restaurants, and shops of Holetown, West Rock offers a rare balance — tranquil countryside living with effortless access to the vibrant west coast.

These are a unique offering in Barbados, when searching to book we couldn't find else anything like West Rock. The 2 bedroom villa was perfect for us as we were 2 couples holidaying together, in the best location in between Holetown and Speightstown. We booked directly through the website and the West Rock team was very helpful and friendly right from when we first made contact, it was our first time to Barbados so we had plenty of questions that needed answering. They also advised us on our itinerary, flights, transfers etc. You get a family feel from the team who generally cared about our visit.

We recently stayed at a villa in Barbados and had a wonderful time. The villa was even more beautiful than it was in the photos. The view from the villa was nice, and we loved spending time on our terrace.The villa was also very well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The location of the villa was perfect. It was close to the beach, as well as it was easy to get around the island from the villa. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay in Barbados.

We absolutely loved our stay at West Rock Villas.The villas are beautifully decorated and finished - real boutique feel to them. Beautiful views to the sea. Good pool area which was never busy in the week we were there.The area was perfect for us - very quiet - literally the only noise are the cows in the field - we woke one morning to a family of little green monkeys peering through the balcony door - this is a really lovely place to stay if you want peace and tranquility but still within 5-10 mins of Holetown, beach and restaurants.
