Barbados sits where the Atlantic Ocean & the Caribbean Ocean come together!
There are some awesome beaches & they are all accessible to everyone, none are private!
So grab your towels & feel the sand between your toes!

Shark Hole Beach & Bay:-

A unique little ‘secret’ beach hidden on the South East Coast of Barbados.
Located around a 40 minute drive from WEST ROCK VILLAS
Don’t worry - no sharks!
A marvellous little bay dug out of the coral cliffs with an intimate protected beach, perfect for a couple!
An adventure to find, may need to use a Maps App, although even then may need to ask directions  which is always fun!
It is popular at weekends, & gets crowded with just a few people, often deserted weekdays early mornings.
Don’t swim out of the reef due to dangerous tides!

Sandy Lane Beach:-

A perfect spot to ‘Stargaze’ a high chance you will see a celebrity or two!
Tranquil & calm waters - perfect for chilling & snorkelling!
Located on the West Coast in St. James around an 8 minute drive from WEST ROCK VILLAS

Gibbs Beach:-

A very private beach, will need to take your towel & a picnic!
Away from all the sun loungers & hotels - gentle waves
Located on the West Coast in St. Peter - around an 8 minute drive from WEST ROCK VILLAS
Chill & swim, there is natural shade.
Where Prince Charles & Camilla took a dip on their last visit to Barbados!

Crane Beach:-

With pink sand!
Voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the World!
Consistent waves - Not great for swimming - children need to be supervised
Difficult to access if not a guest of the Crane Hotel
Located on the South East Coast
Around a 40 minute drive from WEST ROCK VILLAS

Alleynes’s Beach

One of the best beaches on the West Coast
Just a 10/15 minute stroll down from WEST ROCK VILLAS!
Clear azure waters, perfect for swimming, snorkelling & paddle boarding!
May spot a turtle or two!
Sun Loungers & umbrellas available to hire
Ju Ju’s Beach Bar located here
Great beach to chill all day! & even watch the sunset with a Rum Punch from Ju Ju’s
(may need to grab a taxi back to WEST ROCK after the Rum Punch!!!)

Mullins Beach

Located in St. James - around an 8 minute drive from WEST ROCK VILLAS
Loungers & Umbrellas!
Warm & Calm waters!
Great for young kids!
Lots of Beautiful People
‘Sea Shed’ - (the new beach bar in town) is located here!

Bathsheba Beach

Located on the East Coast - around a 20 minute drive from WEST ROCK VILLAS
Where the wild Atlantic sea meets Barbados, & where the surfers are!
Not great for swimming as the waves are fierce, but fantastic!
Great for beach walking, meditation & taking in the breathtaking views!
No fast food, or souvenir shops here! - just a lovely ‘slice of heaven’ next to the sea!

Come to the Beach
Where the Sea is blue
And little white waves
Come running at You

A wave comes splashing
Over your toes
You just stand still
And away it goes

We’ll build a castle
Down by the sea
And look for shells
If you'll come with me

It is our absolute pleasure to introduce ourselves as Paul & Lorraine from the UK, & to welcome you to West Rock Villas. We have been visiting Barbados for many years with our children & now grandchildren. So along with our love for this beautiful island, our travel experience in the aviation industry & property development knowledge, we have created this ‘Special Place to Be’! We wanted to provide something a little different, but with the essence of a traditional Barbadian ‘Chattel’ house & contemporary stylish interiors.
